Slowdown- for the demo. This reduces all ship turning, accleraton, and top speed values by 4 times. Everyone moves at a quarter their usual speed, and the missions give you 4 times the time.

Because of the demo limitations, I couldn't do this to weapons or recharge rates.

Here's the beta for my Battlestar Galactica mod. It includes new models, textures, landscapes, and a new campaign. May require my landscape mod (http://brique2.intelli.com/vhosts/tre/media/BSG/Landscapes.zip) (12 MB) to function properly.

Battlestar Galactica Mod (http://brique2.intelli.com/vhosts/tre/media/BSG/Colonies.zip) (12 MB)

REQUIRES STARFURY V1.15 OR BETTER!!!

Music for the mod (broken up into three files for slightly less ugly download)- Not necessary, but adds to the mood.
Music 1 (http://brique2.intelli.com/vhosts/tre/media/BSG/Music1.zip) (17 MB)
Music 2 (http://brique2.intelli.com/vhosts/tre/media/BSG/Music2.zip) (30 MB)
Music 3 (http://brique2.intelli.com/vhosts/tre/media/BSG/Music3.zip) (20 MB)

Enjoy!

The P&N-ism physics mod for the stock campaigns is there.
P&N-ism makes Very significant changes:
- lifesupport requirements are directly based on crew capacity.
- slowish repairs based on amount of crew.
- Shields are relatively weak, but regenerate.
- Armor is quite tough and disposable; it is actually cheaper to scrap the old plates and buy new ones than to repair them.
- A wide variety of weapons. Trade off damage rate for tonnage and energy use.
- Reworked energy system. It is entirely possible to ply the spaceways with no reactors, and recharge massive batteries when you visit spacedocks, but having a tiny reactor to trickle-charge your ship between battles is very handy.
- Big ships are actually scary. You can't win against a battleship with a destroyer... not a chance. You can, however skirmish with one, and distract it long enough to complete a defend mission if you're good at dodging fire.
- And more!

Also posted there is a pair of minimods, including:
- Supersize mod: Ships are teeny, planets and stuff are HUGE.
- Newtonian physics mod: engines provide turning and acceleration only, max speed is almost infinite. If your engines take damage, you will simply coast along until you smash into something or manage to repair them. Be sure to apply the brakes well before you reach your destination http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

And there is a mirror of the BSG mod too.

For the Starblazer Mod installation instructions, you do not need to place anything in any stock folders. All folders can be replicated under the campaign folder, as illustrated in this post from the other thread:

Suicide Junkie said:
The trick to the mod folder is to make it look *EXACTLY* like the stock/core/root files.

The path to UI goes Starfury\images\UI, so you place your modded UI in Starfury\campaigns\starblazers\images\UI
The same process applies to just about everything.

Star Blazers Mod: The Quest for Iscandar, Campaign 1
The Mod consist of two files:
1. Data:
StarBlazers-Campaign1_v1.3 (6.6MB) (updated 01/7/08)
http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/threads/download.php?Number=383726

The v1.5 means that the data has been updated.
Trying to fix a possible crash when the component Ypos and Xpos coordinates = 0. The player component may not matter since if your ship is destroyed the game is over, but I changed anyway.

There is also a small change on Campaign1-first mission: I decreased the time for the mission to be completed (from 75 days to 70), giving the player a slightly better chance to complete the mission. (Reason for change: For a first mission it was too difficult.) (Fift update)

2. Music - you find it on the next post.

Do not forget the patch for STARFURY, the latest around is V1.17. That patch also includes a PDF Manual.

The music is for both campaigns.

Update: 1/07/2008

Note: Mod Updated to V1.05 -The change is on the Main_ComponentConfigurationSlotsEnemy.txt and Main_ComponentConfigurationSlotsPlayer.txt

Trying to fix a possible crash when the component Ypos and Xpos coordinates = 0. The player component may not matter since if your ship is destroyed the game is over, but I changed anyway.

Hope that this is more clear.

Multiverse Campaing 1

Two files
1. Multiverse_1-Enemy_From_Beyond-V1.03
http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/threads/download.php?Number=574870

2. Multiverse_Music-1
(for music see post above)

Note: Mod Updated to V1.01 -The change is only on the Main_ComponentConfigurationSlotsEnemy.txt and Main_ComponentConfigurationSlotsPlayer.txt

Trying to fix a possible crash when the component Ypos and Xpos coordinates = 0. The player component may not matter since if your ship is destroyed the game is over, but I changed anyway.

V1.02 is just a trim down of some unesesary files that were just taking space. So the download is much smaller, but the gameply is still the same.

V1.03 Many changes. They will be posted on a different page.

This is the corrected 'sounds' for Multiverse. Just place this 'Sounds' folder inside the campaign folder. Use it on all the Multiverse campaigns.

http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/threads/download.php?Number=589881

this should fix compatibility problems of the game and some sound drivers. The game uses 16bit, 44 KHz. The ones these are replacing were 8bit, 11 kHz. Either 16bit or 8bit plays fine on Media player or any popular sound player. They also play fine on the game on most computers, but the few unlucky ones. The bug was a hard one for me to track since my knowledge of music is slim.
Sorry for the delay.

Available here is the download for Starfury Campaign 4 New Beginnings. It is a stand alone campaign or can be played with the original 3 campaigns (read below).

Also available is the download for the events text for campaign 3 if you want to play campaigns 1,2,and, 3 and want it to transfer to campaign 4. If you want to go from campaign 3 to campaign 4 then replace the campaign 3 events text with the events text from starfury campaign 3 events mod. I've include the original campaign 3 events text in the download too if you every want to change the campaign 3 events text back to how it was originally.
