In my playing I've noticed that temporary bonus's from potions stack (i.e. drink three st. potions and gain 60 tmp Strength), and that if you buy and equip an armor or item that you normally can't due to status restrictions, you can with the temp bonus's. The problem is that when the bonus's run out, the eqipment stays equipped and you keep the defense bonus. Is this addressed in the patch?

Also, is there a way to edit the length of time a torch burns. My fighter really dislikes carrying 12 into a cave just to clear 1 floor... I can't find the location in any of the files that refers to item properties. Anyone figure out where it is? Or is this fixed/adjusted in the patch?

Thanks All,
Ahmo

Another question:

Will it fix the crash to desktop when you try to run the game that some people experiance???

I can't see this fix listed anywhere in previous patch reports!!!

About the torches...

Look in the Main_ItemClasses.txt file in the data folder of your favorite module http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif do a search for 'torch' and below the name there is a line that looks something like this..

Light Number of Turns := 120

change the 120 to a higher number and that should make them Last longer. If you take the time to view the other data lines, you will also notice that you can modify many other aspects of the torch, weight, light radius, etc.

Hope this helps, (oh, and be sure to backup any files you modify, it's just good practice!)

Cheers!

Ah, learnded grasshopper sees... It was in the "TILES" folder though, not DATA. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, I would never have looked in the module tiles directory.

Any new word for us on the status of the public release of the patch? The peasants are restless for a breadcrumb.

From the beginning of Crown of the Magi to the end of the new module. I expect it will be released this week.

I didn't use any torches for the dark levels, and still I cleared everything in minutes.

Any new word on a public release of the first patch. I'd really like to get my hands on the new tile generator, and that new module too...

Now that the new patch is out, I love the load feature in the tile editor, it makes viewing and adjusting tiles simple enough, but I have noticed that it only views 20 files from your initial Dungeon Odyssey directory. The arrows to view more don't seem to work... Are other people having this problem, or is it a bug on my system?

Also, I've noticed that when you load another tile (after already editing one) it does not refresh, but instead over-writes the current tile with the new one. The only problem with this is that if you have null tiles in your new tile, they will retain the properties of the previous tile. Can this be addressed in another patch later on?

In the tile editor, all I do is hit F1 to paste an empty tile over the old before I load. Because I haven't copied a tile to that slot in memory (Ctrl+F1 to F8 to copy, F1 - F8 to paste!) it pastes an empty tile which effectively 'clears' the grid.

Hope this helps, Cheers!
