Ok, I decided to post one of the many workscreens that I created during the making of Dungeon Odyssey.
MonsterWork.gif (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/newuploads/1050512585.gif)
On it you will find many examples of heads, arms, weapons, armor, and other body parts that can be used in creating new monster combinations.
I hope this little pic will be of some use to you aspiring artists and 'modders' out there. Enjoy!
Comments are welcome, have a great day, Cheers! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif
Edit: P.S. If enough interest is shown, I could be convinced to release a few more workscreens! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

ooooh, this is very cool David. Thanks a bunch. I am by no means talented to do any graphical stuff. But with this maybe even I can put together a monster or two. The sky is the limit for people with talent, I suppose.

ooooh, very nice David. I especially like that living tree and the spider centaurs http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif . Also some very nifty and yet unused items like the tiny potions. Thanks a bunch for sharing that with us.

P.S. Something you might not know, all monster bmp's in the game are 54x54 pixels and all 'objects' (weapons, armor, potions etc) are 32x32 pixel bmp's. [R:255 G:000 B:255] is the transparent color used by the game.

I really like the worksheet system, it saves a lot of time. I used to build up most of my pictures from scratch, or changed ones I made earlier by pixel-for pixel editing. I never thought of the idea to have a library with body parts/shields/weapons etc. thanks!

P.S. Many of the body parts are blueish in color, I normally recolored them. the blue color was a good neutral one for me. Oh, nad I made mbackground a shade of green because the bright fucia was grinding on my nerves!
