Is there a way to hmake a new skill that can heal pets ? Also is there a way to make mod the pets so that they heal themself automaticly ? If there is any of both of these things impossible (wich is probably the case) it should be changed in the next patch, let's hope aaron will make one soon after completing starfury, with these moddifications, it would be much better if we want to make a tamer class.
Thank you
Justin

yes, I believe that would be possible to mod.
And I am also hoping for a patch after Starfury.

Pets? How about auto-heal and auto-mana for the player? Also it would be cool if it found the potion power that is close to the amount of mana/health lost. I don't know how many times I wasted a 100 point health potion on 50 points of damage or less because it was 'next' in my inventory. It would be cool if the potions only took as much as needed like in Dungeon Siege

Sorry but Auto/heal Auto/mane is already on dungeon odyssey.
And thanks rollo for answering my question.
Somone should make a list of evry fix that should be on the next patch, i will probably do it if I think about it.

After given it some more thought: yes, self healing pets would be no problem to mod at all, either give them a healing spell to use (that could be pretty annoying, but OTOH you could make it without sound or visual effects) or give them a regeneration ability.
A spell to heal your pets or followers I am not so sure. It could be that you cannot target your friendly monsters as normally all targetted spells are harmful and friendly monsters are usually protected from that. But hey, at least you can cast a Fire Storm and not worry about frying your doggie http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif .

Akachaki:
What do you mean that auto heal and auto mana are already in the game. Can you tell me how it works? In my game it doesn't auto heal or auto mana I have to use the hotkeys.
Please let me know how to do this. Thanks http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

It depand on what you meant , i meant that the auto/heal auto/mana was already in the game because the player is slowly gaining his hp and mana back. but i think you meant that i said there was a way to take a potion automaticly without click or using an hotkey, if there's a way to do that then i dont know it.

Yep that is what I meant. That when you got low on health or mana it would use a potion for you.

Justin<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Pssst, Justin. It might help if we knew what the 'Real' name of the file is, just placing the file '1054122567.txt' to the data directory will have very little effect. (In fact no effect at all.)
Oh, and fyi, most if not all the game 'data' is stored within the save games and therefore will not be generated from new data files unless you start a new game. (I could be wrong, It might depend on what file it is.)

Do monsters heal?
Akachaki

PvK: no, only pets heal themself , for monsters it would be a long and hard process.
I did'nt think about this one. when i uploaded the file it automaticly changed it's name. Here's the right file in .zip http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif
Summon_MonsterClasses.txt (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/newuploads/1054151965.zip)

Pets healing, it's finaly here ! simply add to file to any module to make pets slowly heal themselves.
1054122567.txt (http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/newuploads/1054122567.txt)
Add this file to \dungeonodyssey\modulename\data\
And I think you dont even need to start a new game to take advantage of pets healing.
Bring any modification to it and add it to any module. Also if you think they heal too fast or too slow, you can tell me and i will arrange it.
If you think it's like cheating you can give me your opinion.

The file I edited is called summon_monsterclasses.txt, this file has the defenition of evry monster you can summon, I had to add the effect life regeneration to all of them based on how much life they have at their minimum lvl. If I would want to do it for normal monsters, I would need to edit the other monster file wich contains evry monster in the game. This would be at the same time very long and complex because I would need to make some monsters heal faster than other because some have more health.
I hope this answer your question.

Yeah, sounds impractical. It seems to me that healing would be a property of all living characters, but I guess not?

Yes Evrything should heal themself slowly, but monsters are usuly already dead when we go away from where we met them http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif
