Enchanted Orbs

I've found a few orbs with enchantments, but I'm not sure what can be done with them...
Any ideas?

just leave them in your backpack and it'll work, permanent effect and you don't have to wield it, what more could you want? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif
