Hi guys!
I've been a visitor (silent) to Shrapnel Games for over a year. I'm in final stages of finishing my own RPG Engine and had a few questions.
1. How many visitors/hit does Shrapnel Games get?
2. Are there any stats on sales volume for SG?
3. When I see game labels that say "Gone Gold" what *exactly* does that mean?
I'm new to the shareware game arena, and just want to make sure my product can get the correct exposure. Email me if necessary..
Thanks
Tyrone W. Lee

"Gone gold" is a term usually used to indicate that the current build of a game has been frozen into its final state for release.

They don't usually publish such information. Send an email to Tim Brooks. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

More specifically, it means the "gold" master copy of the CD has been made.
It is known that Space Empires IV is SG's biggest seller, and that they've sold over half a million dollars worth of it.

You can also contact Richard, he can send you information about developer relations which should answer those questions.

How much do you think a gold master copy of SEIV or any game for that matter is worth?
