i have the platinum pack....is it worth upgrading to intersteller trader 2?

Trader 2 is a greatly improved Version of Trader, and with the upcoming upgrade patch, it'll be even deeper and better than ever. So if you particularly enjoyed the original Interstellar Trader in the Thunder Pack, then Trader 2 is a very worthy pick-up.
