A note for anyone getting a black screen at start: I have to alt-tab away from the game, then back to it, for it to display. Also had to switch the video mode to Safe; after I did those everything's good.

Looks good, nice FPS on my system. Default controls are a little strange though.

Also, some people may experience problems if a screen saver kicks in while you have the game paused. If so, you may want to disable your screen saver.

Hi All,

Yes, the Starfury demo has been released! Whoo-Hoo!

Demo Details:
- An all new prequel campaign that leads you into the main storyline of Starfury.
- Most of the data files are not moddable.
- You only get 3 races in the demo, and only the smaller ship sizes (no Battleships, Carriers, or Terran Starbases).
- The demo only contains about 30% of the components available.

Enjoy!

PS: If you run into any technical difficulties, email me at sf@malfador.com and include a detailed report, system specs, screenshots, and savegames. Some graphics cards have peculiar drivers...

Is the painfully slow download speed because everyone and there brother is trying to get it at the same time? It's like I have dial-up all over again.

It was 300 or so kb/s when I downloaded this morning, and based on the performance of the forums, I'd say Shrapnel is swamped.
