View Full Version : Weapon Banks

How exactly do I use weapon banks? I assumed that the four that are there are for the front, right and left sides respectively, and the rear.. but on the cruiser I have, I installed some weapons on the right and left sides, but weapon banks 2 and 3 didn't become activated.. Also they don't appear to add to my normal forward (weapon bank 1)'s firepower either. It's almost as if they are a waste of space on the ship that don't do anything.
Also, does anyone know if there will be multiplayer support in the full Version?

to assign a weapon to a weapon bank, go to the ship inventory screen and move the mouse cursor over the weapon you wish to assign (on the ship hard points) and press 1-2-3-or 4 and the weapon under the cursor will be assigned the new bank number.
Note you can have several weapons assigned to the same bank, I like to assign my left weapon to 1 and the right to 4 and the light forward weapons to 2 and the front heavy weapons to 3.
I hope this helps. (and I'm sure tis info is better described in the docs/readme file.

Actually, it is about the only uselful thing in the readme that is mentioned - in the control keys section, under Weapons (after 'Mine').
I agree, though, the readme could use a little more information in there!

Deadzone, i hate to tell you this, but about half the eula's read like they where written by borg. you might want to take a look at yours. for example, if you use a warcraft 3 map you made on battlenet, if i remember correctly, blizzard then owns it...which leaves you out if you make a good one and they decide to assimalate it.

then their's only you to blame if it includes the phrase 'resistance is futile'.
personally, i don't think i'd see that on a shrapnel product, but personally, i like to know what i'm 'signing'.
LOL. just as my browser went back to the thread, the warcraft 3 launcher popped up off the cd.
i think it's taking over the computer! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif
