Two questions. First, is there any way to preplace mines on a map? Say I want to put a minefield around a warp point, is there any way to do that? I imagine it would be something like creating a battlegroup of mine objects and setting them to be within a radius of x from a given object, but since mines are units, not ships, I'm not so certian this would work. Any ideas?

Secondly, is there a way to make a weapon that targets mines? Currently, I've been unable to shoot them (although admittedly, at the time, I was in combat and had a lot of distractions going on), but could something be made that would use a Wepon Target Type: Mine?

I've thought my PDC were firing on mines before, but that could have been a fluke--I don't remember if I was in combat or not. That could be a double-edged sword, though--since all PDC seem to fire at the same target, you probably wouldn't knock out those inbound torps. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

Fighters certainly are, and they can be specifified in the random enemies file.
