ok this question must have been asked before but I can't find an answer to it so I'll ask again.

How do you get the texture right for your ship? And how to add the ships hardpoints, engine glowes etc. to the txt files. Or rather I know how to add them but I have no idea what the coordinates are.

here is what I do to find the firing points and engine glows for models:
* load the model in a 3D programm
* make a small ball with radius 1
* move the ball to where the firing points/engines should be
* check the coordinates of the ball and enter them to SpaceObjects file
* move to next firing point/engine glow

also there is a nice cheat (SHOWFIRINGPOINTS) that let's you check on the firing points and arcs on all the models in the game.

Thank you!

In Se4 there were guides in the start of every datafile. It's a pity it doesn't apply to Starfury.

Oh and by the way, I'm too lazy to check. What's the image size for the ship's top portrait picture. The component layout.
