You know how point defense cannons can't hit inbound torps when they are coming from port or starbord?

The problem is that they are firing too soon.

If you go into Main_Components.txt, and find (Ctrl-F) "point".

Look for
Weapon Damage Maximum Range := 20

and change it to

Weapon Damage Maximum Range := 12

Then save.


Point defense cannons will wait until the torpedo is a lot closer before firing, which makes for a more accurate shot. Multiple cannons waste less ammo this way, so you have a fair chance of defeating most of a volley.

... And so do your enemies.
