sithrak dreadnaught

Greetings

recently I read something about a dreadnaught shipclass from a race called sithrak in starfury. I haven't been playing starfury for long and have only finished the first campaign, but as I already got a battleship I was exited to hear about a bigger shipclass. Unfortunately I was unable to find any starsystems belonging to the sithrak.
Can someone tell me if it is at all possible to get a dreadnaught class ship, and if so how?

Any info would be appreciated.

Sithrak ships are unplayable in the unmodded game. Don't want to give out any spoilers. Finish the 2nd and 3rd campaigns to see them.

And when you mod the game you can get even bigger ships. Like the monarch I made for example.

Hmm, could someone maybe explain to me (decent general computer knowledge but no real idea on how to mod starfury) what I would have to do to make the sithrak dreadnaught purchaseable?

It would be greatly appreciated.

I can't tell you right now,but I will tell you don't bother.When I did it it took up about half of the screen.

That would be because you didn't have the chase camera set back far enough. The bigger the ship, the bigger the values for Viewing Distance need to be.

Ok I don't remember exactly how I did it,anyway open Main_PurchaseShipsEnemy found in one of the Campaigns and find the section with the Sithrak dreadnaught.Highlight that section and copy it.Then open Main_PurchaseShipsPlayer and paste the Sithrak dreadnaught just above where it says end near the bottom.Then look through ship size and add the Sithrak Dreadnaught.All the info you need for that is in the seaction you just pasted.That should get you started at least.To get the ship to show up more often you will need to modify number of sellers and the seller id in the section you pasted.I think thats all of it.
Oh one thing I posted yesterday but it seems to have gone missing,anyway I did change the viewing distances to get the ship smaller but it didn't work for me.

Ok, this worked to some degree, the ship now shows up in the shipdealer menu with the correct stats in the description window on the right.
The problem is, it doesn't show any hardpoints, no weapon, shield, armor etc. slots, not even for the normal hull.
When I buy the ship, the game crashes.

If anyone got an idea why this happens I would again appreciate any info.

The game crashes because the ship doesn't have anything on it. The other problem is fixed by copying the Sithrak Dreadnaught Layout from the enemy component configuration layout to the player component configuration layout.

Excellent, now it's working perfectly fine (just need to adjust the camera distance a bit more).
