Thank you.

Dominions II looks like it is going to be a great game. I just wanted to say thank you for making it and to remind you that just because we are critical of it does not mean we do not like it (Just the opposite for me, if I take the time to point out things I would like to see improved than I am already hooked).

I very much agree with your sentiments. All the people on the forum complaining about things wouldn't be here if this was actually as bad as they make it sound sometimes. It's a great game and that's why we're all here talking about it so much. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Yes, I like this game too !!

Now, if only pikes were tweakable v cavalry... please?.... or if we'd could set a script so that fromations could move in line together and envelop flanks....?

i would have to agree 110% with the "thank you" statement....

Dominions I, I thought was THE best pc strat game around...now, Dominions II seems to be EVEN better....the impossible possibled....

Soon, I will have Dominions II in my hands (oh, I would say about 2 weeks from now)....and I absolutely CANNOT wait for it...

I just wanted to make sure you know we like the game so far and we would not be so rabid if we didn't.

I wish to convey to the IW my thanks for the great job with dominions.
very creative, imaginative and vast.
more a work of art then a pc game (imho) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

I'm sure there is still a lot of hard work debugging all those pesky bugs...

I second Samuel post here, thank you for the game. (And incidentally, thanks to whoever is to be thanked for the music of Falsobordone in the game. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif )

I have been thankfull to IW since the relase of first Dominions, and Dominions II seems to be a great sequel for Dom I. Keep up the good work(and patches http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif )!

Not just a great game, but a wonderfully complex and well-written game with its own history and cultures to explore. More options and cool stuff to see than any other game I've ever played.

The best.

Thanks.

I agree. I loved Dominions 1, and have been eagerly awaiting Dominions 2. I've spent the Last week playing the demo and putting pressure on my friends to order Dominions 2.

Yes, despite all my complaints I see dom2 has much potential if IW will polish it up a bit, which I am confident they will since they supported dom1 so well.

I know Illwinter is aware that I love their game. Ive put more personal time and resources into this game than I have my own MUD game since I found Dominions. Ive also bought more copies of it than any other game Ive ever owned (buying mutliple copies is common at my house) and sales-pitched quite abit more purchases.

When I first tried the demo I was perplexed and unimpressed. The units were too small for my old eyes, the music was weird, and the gameplay was unintuitive. But I kept at it, and gradually it began to make sense. The music seems haunting now, and the hours fly by as I puzzle out each move. The units are still too small for my diminishing vision, but I offer the highest accolade I can: I purchased the game, one of very few I bought this year. Kudos, Illwinter!

I have threatened my close friends (those who game) with personal bodily harm if they don't purchase a copy and allow my pangean minions to carve up their empires one by one.

I love the idea of a game with too much going on to see it all. This creates immersion for me; the ability to be surprised by a game I have played hundreds of time.

Kudos to Illwinter and Shrapnel and a special thanks to those of you who are helping with questions and being good ambassadors for this community.

Add my thanks to Illwinter. As a newcomer to Dominions, but a veteran strategy game player, I have been blown away by the depth of play and the quality of the AI in the demo. It has provided more of a challenge than many other highly touted AIs, including the MOOs, Warlords, Imperialisms, SEs, GalCivs and Civs. Thank you for an excellent strategic gaming experience, and I hope I never discover and utilize game mechanic exploits that will lessen it (always a temptation). Great game!

This may be a good spot to add my thank-you to Illwinter for the protective efforts they have made.

To play a nation you must have a pretender but the demo doesnt let you create one for certain nations. If you copy of one the pretenders you have made into one of the not-allowed nations you THINK you won. It will let you create a game with that nation but when you try to opent he turn file it informs you that nation isnt allowed in the demo. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Along the same lines if you try to use the .map file to give unique items to any nation then the game informs you that its not allowed in the demo.

Im fairly sure that the game still checks for matching IDs when a host is processing a multiplayer game. (hard to check with the demo but it seems to be there)

Anyway, I didnt want the Devs to feel that any of their work has gone unnoticed so along with all the kudus being posted here for a great game I will post a kudo for protections. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif
