This information may exist somewhere in a comprehensive form, but it doesn't seem to be in the manual as far as I can tell. And, while I've picked up bits and pieces directly from the developers in these forums, it would seem like there must be a more complete explanation of the nations/themes somewhere that I am missing.

For example: I've experimented with all 3 major variants of Ermor since getting the full Version of the game. I came to some false conclusions at first (ie I thought provinces no longer spawned undead leaders, but now I see that they still do - just only at a high dominion level) but I have a reasonable handle on most of it now. However, there are things I am unsure of and/or downright confused about. For one thing, there was a rumor that the quality of the spawned undead troops depended to some extent on the production scale; this is pretty hard to verify, though, because dominion level also affects it, and there's probably a random factor as well. And then there's the base (living) Ermor theme... what are their base national spells? At first glance they seem to have none - all of the traditional Ermor summons are gone, and in my admittedly limited tests I haven't spotted any combat spells available by default either (apart from the L0 spells that everyone gets).

Admittedly Ermor tends to be a special case. But I would guess that there are similar questions out there for some of the special national themes, and it would be good to find a general reference for such things.

The quality of the undead from Ashen Empire depends only on dominion strength and wheteher you have a fort or not.

Ermor begins with Body Ethereal IIRC.

Thank you both for your answers.

I am enjoying the changes you've made to this nation so far; it has much more flavor to it, and though the nation seems a bit weaker/slower than it was before, this may actually make them more playable in MP games.

I also *love* the longdead velites with their javelins (which goes along with what I consider to be an improvement on Pythium/Ermor velites in general). It's too early to say for sure, but I find them to be way more effective than any LI in Dom I.
