MapEditers, Map Converters, and Hackers

If you are any of the above then take note....
for some reason having an old dom1 map in my map directory scrambled the brains of dom2. I just couldnt seem to get dom2 to let me start a game where it gave me the correct image. I would start a game on the Aran map (which it showed me fine) but what I would get was Dom2 trying to play the Aran.map file on Britain.tga which was a very strange game.

Deleting an old map seemed to fix the problem. I have other old maps in the directory. As far as I can tell now it was just because the one I deleted hadnt been modified for Dom2. It had no lines such as #dom2title or #domVersion. It wasnt that map I was trying to play but just having it there seemed to scramble the maps list

I tried this and it sure seems like Dominions II is allergic to old maps. New maps require #dom2title instead of #title and "" around description. In the future there will be an error message if you have an old map in your new dom map folder.
