on some units and commanders, "map movement" has a number larger than 1. scout for example shows 2. now i thought this would mean they could travel 2 provinces in 1 turn. (i read something about fliers moving multiple provinces in a single turn in this forum)
if that's right, how can i make them do that? i tried shift, ctrl, alt for chaining movement orders, but none of it worked. do i have to own the provinces? are there different movement costs based on terrain in the provinces?

Left click on a province 2 provinces away. You need to own them, and there shouldn't be any special terrain provinces inbetween (unless the unit has the appropriate survival skill or is flying). Fliers also ignore the ownership of the province. You can only move one province underwater. Also, check army movement speed before moving - the army moves at the pace of the slowest member.

thanks. didn't know the target province also had to be mine. so this movement purely inside your empire, no sudden attacks from 2 or 3 provinces away?
