How can I find an email game to get into (or internet). Is there a player matching service?

Many thanks!

Good question. I haven't found any info at all about this myself.

I'm very much interested in this myself. I've been playing the game now for just 1 week, and I think I'm beginning to get a fair grasp on running Jotunheim. (hehe, one down and 16 others to go) I have so much to learn ... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

Well there are a few games running which were started here. Anyone who wants to run in host mode can just start a new thread and do a game

There should be a seperate forum for game matchmaking. (hint hint)

That's a great idea. A new forum where we can post about brand new games starting up will help the community a lot. Otherwise this forum may become flooded with people asking for games.

I'm surpised they haven't made a deal with microsoft Zone or some other service to host games for them http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

Considering the low overhead of this game (from a multiplayer standpoint) I'm surprised that neither Illwinter nor Shrapnel has set up a server to host games.

It has been asked a few times already. Maybe we need to get out the tar and pitchforks. Alternativly you can use the DomX board (www.dominionsx.com) to find and update your games there.

Actually both I and Shrapnel have offered server space for a multi-game server (linux from me and windows from them). But the game is rather heavy in the memory/ram dept for running alot of servers at the same time for tcp/ip

There are threads here about what it would take for such a server. Some ironing out of webpage signup and file transfer mostly so that the games could be processed by a "host-and-quit" command. Not too difficult a project. A few folks took stabs at bits and pieces of it but no one has jumped up to take it on completely
