Im not sure now. You used to be able to but since the Last patch I believe that pre-patched full Versions can no longer play with patched full Versions. Since the demo is pre-patch I suspect that it would work either.

Yup, that is correct. The demo can currently only be used to play with Version 2.02 (no patches) of Dominions.
