Just some minor points.
- Could we have the default "bid" on rehiring mercs be 1/2 the original price instead of the full price? (There doesnt seem to be a reason to have to keep deflating the price to the "rehire" bid.)
- The magic carpet and flying ship do not cause the owners to fly with any troops as the item descriptions suggest.
- Would it be possible to get the feedback "Assassin Bob did not find any appropriate target in Province Happyland"?
- When having mages set to forge, and you suddenly realize you either need to exchange an item (better give that dwarven hammer to Ted instead of Sam) or if you want to check to see if there is something else he should be forging/casting (I cant keep all the requirements of all the billions of spells and items in my head), the computer often resets to Defend; could the default be: "Leave it the way it was before"?
Well just some thoughts after a long marathon of ruining my eyes yet again for the sake of Machaka...

Coincidently, I reported the bidding bug you mention in the thread I gave the URL for above.

Personally, I think it doesn't hurt to remind the devs, now and then, of some of these annoying buglets that they may or may not have already fixed in the upcoming patch ...
Since IW does not maintain a public bullet list of fixed and open issues, as I have seen for some other games. IW does post occasionally, in reply to someone's query, that an issue has been addressed, but a comprehensive list would be so useful. At the very least it would cut down on the duplicate reports. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif
The possible down side is that IW might get some people bugging them about why one bug has been fixed and not another. Some people are never satisfied. Some people are peculiar that way. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

Well, Arryn, like I always say, the only happy people are dead people.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Correct. Reminding is good as long as it is presented in a nice way. Especially if an earlier poster was rude or hostile. Rude complaints are generally ignored the first time, not because of the contents of the complaint, but because rude persons are annoying.
Sometimes bugs that aren't critical are forgotten, so reminding us is good.

What do you think about the idea of posting, and keeping updated, a master list of known issues and the fix status for them? Issues can be categorized as bugs, or wishlist items, as appropriate. Some status types can be "fixed", "reproduced", "not reproduced", "not a bug" (for intentional behavior), et cetera. Posting in the sticky thread itself would be restricted to the Moderators and IW personnel. The main post in the thread just gets re-edited say once a week or so to update the status of whatever's been worked on.

St. Patrik was doing just that for awhile. He disappeared for awhile when he lost his Internet connection but I've seen him back around lately. Maybe he'd be interesting in picking it back up?
