Are 2 Wells of Pestillence cumulative ?

I have found 2 Wells of Pestillence (+1 death gem, improves death) in one of my provinces and am wondering, if those "improves death" effects are cumulative ?

Several wells will make it harder for a growth dominion to overcome the death scale, but they won't make people die faster.
