I must be missing some3thing - I am unable to capture water (underwater?) provinces with my army. Is there some "enchantment" that I need - or some spell I can cast - or am I just missing the big picture. There has to be some way, but I'll be darned if I can figure it out. Can someone please help me?

With what race are you playing? If it's Vanheim or Marignon's Conquerors of the Sea theme, your units have the ability to sail over bodies of water regardless of ownership, but you can't stop and attack a water province unless you have some water-breathing equipment.

I was playing Ermor - I can't seem to go "into" the water - there are about 6 or so provinces which are in the water and I can't get there from any province - I must be missing something.

Make sure all of your units have either the "amphibian' or "poor amphibian" ability. This is the vast majority of Ermorian troops, but does not include the non-undead. I suspect it's a leader (possibly your pretender) who can't go underwater. There are several items that allow water-breathing on a commander OR you can use 50 Water gems to empower a level of water for a commander to give them water-breathing.

Ghouls, lictors, wights, censors, the Arch-Censor hero -- none of these can go underwater.
Also note that some of your units can go underwater but cannot be summoned there; archbishops come to mind.
