Can you actually get to the point where you have Rimsurtar? Or is it just a big tease cold effect spell http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

A tease. A nice tease if you like the world to chill out, though. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Too poweful. One of the pretenders, the frost giant whose name I don't remember, is a descendand of the Rimtursar... Although it seems that his description has not been changed to reflect the Niefel giants that are now available for Jotun. Besides, even if he was of equal power with the Rimtursas, why would he make them do his bidding? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

What if someone used the 'Wish' spell to wish for Rimtursar ? Rimtursar probably doesn't exist in the game... but what would the wish spell do when not finding a match ?

It'd tell you it's something you can't wish for.
Of course, you could mod in the Rimusurtar...

It'd be a cool spell to have at level nine something or other, costing a metric tonne of gems and only being able to be cast when Illwinter is in effect, to summon one (or more) of those dudes

You can equip an Ice Devil with artifacts and rename it Rimsurtar. And you'd be right, too, because anyone who argued would die.

I had 300 longdead "argue" with a charcoal-shielded ice devil recently. Needless to say, they lost=) Breath of Winter is nice too, against the living. 50 turns is enough to clear a battlefield if the enemy is tripping over itself to die... Lifelong protections work, though.

Obviously the Rimtursar obeys noone.
"You can be the son of Nifel all you want, but WE are the ancestors...Now YOU obey."
IMO the Rimtursar should come as heavy hitting random events when the "Illwinter" is cast. Sort of like Bogus and his merry men, but maybe a bit worse.

Luckily, a snowblind and frostbitten magus managed to distill a large amount of water gems from the left-behind hills of snow."
