Hi, see topic.
I was wondering if a high (or low, whatever) defense does any good (or bad) when being attacked by arrows or projectiles in general. i dont think it does though.

Defence means nothing against missiles. I guess they are simply to fast to dodge. Put units with shields (which get a bonus against bolts, stones and arrows) as well as metal armour in the frontline to soak up the archer aggression.

A unit's defense does not matter when being attacked by an arrow. The attack roll on the projectile is 10+2d6, while the victim's roll is 10+shield defense modifier+2d6. A tower shield for example has a defense modifier of 4.

k, so precision if no attack modifier, its just for choosing which square is hit ?

Precision just determines which square the projectile will hit, correct.
