- save files are now zip'ed
and i'm running out of ideas what to add next.
I guess as soon as Arryn reads her emails it will be up.

Torvak's latest DomSaver, v0.61, is now available for d/l from my site.
EDIT: (from Ralph's email to me) "didn't do much. Just fixed the typo and now put the current turn number into the load text field. And just noticed I didn't put v.61 into the about tab and title but that's too minor to change now."

Did anybody except Arryn get this thing working? It just throws Exceptions all over the place.
I tried creating some missing files on my own but couldn't figure it out completely.
I'm annoyed to copy game folders over and over again so I would really like to use this tool. Can somebody shed some light on this?

Im not much on things that are "you can run this if you download and install xxxxxxx". Thats why I avoided releasing some of my stuff in the past.
Now that I can do stand-alone EXE's I might take a stab at a few utilities. The game-saver/god-saver seems like it would work alot better once the --preexec switch is fixed (next patch). Of course my stuff dont tend to have user menus so some other more GUI programmer might want to take a stab at it. Its not a hard thing to to in any program.

Well, the problem wasn't that I couldn't get it to run. It started just fine with a double click. What I didn't get is that you have to specifiy the "path to .trn file" like this:
C:\Games\dominions2\mygame\mynation
Then I didn't know how to actually use it. It took a while until I figured that you have to load and save right before you hit "host". And you don't even have to quit the game to load an older turn. To load an older turn from within the game, hit end turn, load game, go back to game.
Maybe this is useful for somebody else.
