Coming from a Stars! background i'm quite surprised that there don't appear to be any host/player matching services.

Stars! had loads well at least 3 http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif Which would basically be web pages, listing the hosts name, his game, with settings, and whether it was full or still accepting places.

The logical place for this would be DominionsX.

Only wish I could do it, but my web design is rubbish http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

We have some web projects going on but so far the matchups tend to be done here, or in IRC

I sure wouldnt mind geting ahold of the Stars matchup site to modify it to dom http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif Hmmmm lets see, if I bought a copy of Dom and sent it as a "gift" to the stars dude maybe I could convert him

Well one way is the List which one of the guys (Mr Stars) hosted

http://www.stars-thelist.co.uk/mainpage.htm

The others wern't that complicated, pretty much web forms that showed available games and allowed the host to indicate when games were full.

I also saw a spike on the Gonegold, which indicated this player may now be playing Dom 2
http://www.manacled.demon.co.uk/stars/

Although I could be wrong.

It may just be that with Stars! you really didn't tend to play it SP so many more hosted games.

If someone has some skill in making decent looking webpages and wants to put it together I will host it on my webspace. And Maintain it.

Ive also made an offer to host (linux) and Shrapnel offered to host (windows). Both of those offers were alittle more limited since we were looking for someone who wanted to run a dom site.

There are also some great domain names still available including Dominions2

Well if someone wants to host the site, and make up the website (I know there are packages out there) I'll maintain it.
