Just noticed a small fault with the Ashikaga mod. The Ashigiri are armed with a fist and nothing else...
Should they have a spear/yari?
Dont want to step on toes, the mods ace otherwise!

Ah yes, you refer to a known bug with armor and weapons modding. Whenever a player returns to the main menu, all custom armor and weapons are erased until the next time Dominions II loads. Make sure not to exit to the main menu from a game unless you want to stop using the mod.
The Ashigaru warrior should be using a Yari. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

I love this mod btw. It is awesome. What vision! My question would be: could a modder make a slightly "wimpier" Version, maybe "Ash. Light"? I find it very overpowered.

I would love to make it more balanced, but as my college finals are coming up I haven't had time to playtest any of the latest Versions. Balancing tweaks people suggest often are usually adopted, so if you've got something you want changed, bring it up.

Good mod generally. Nice graphics.
Generally I find that the units have high attack and sometimes defend values. Especially the asassins are extremely dangerous.
After a fairly long game against the AI I had 3 asassins in the hall of fame. All with more than 50 kills (all asassinations).
Most of this was done without any sneakyness other than hiding in provinces. I never had a Jonin found by patrollers. Even in provinces with several houndred units over multiple turns.
I lost a grand total of 1 Jonin to 5 bodyguarding minotaur tramplers.
IMO all three Ninja units should have their attack and defense reduced by at least 2. As of now its a clear exploit against AI oponents at least.
Sure they´re expensive, but its an almost safe investment since they very seldom die.

Wimpier? At least there are no Ashigiri with rifles!
Great mod btw

I am also really busy at the moment and havent extensively tested what I think could be better tone-down tweaking yet, sorry; I dont want to say anything half-cocked, and as you know in this game there is so much complexity and synergy it is hard to nail down any "one unit"; I just had the feeling I steamrolled everything the first game I played with it without even knowing how the nation works at all, I just built stuff I thought would be cool and goofed about and simply crushed my (AI) opponents.
