Alchemy shortcut

I just discovered the shortcuts for alchemy. Were they here the whole time were they added in the patch?

In the alchemy screen, the mouse-over text reveals the shortcut. f=astral -> fire, F=fire-> astral, etc for each conVersion. Was great to have when I converted a few hundred gems to astral in a single player game. Just press and hold F for a few seconds http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

I leverage this feature frequently, and by leverage, I really do mean leverage: I've been known to convert gems in such bulk quantities that even with the keyboard shortcut, it takes so long that I jam a screwdriver into the keyboard to pin the key down and go get a fresh caffeine pill.

Is there a shortcut key for converting gems to gold?

I dont know but once on the 359th turn I converted 1000 death gems into atral and then did the same to fire+ nature+ water to boost my commander to 15 astral!
