... Or are crystal amazons no longer in dominions? I have seen the merc group, and I remember finding them in DomI but I have yet to see them in Dom2. Anyone else had better luck?

i've got onyx (w/ castle arcanum on top, no less http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif ) and garnet in my current game (both very near my starting location), but I admit that they're very rare.

I conquered a Crystal Amazons province in an SP game not more than 4 days ago. They are definitely hanging out, though it sounds like they're hiding from you. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

All four Groups of Amazons, by the way, are my favorite indies. I always do a little dance when I find an Amazon province.

Amazons are terrain dependant nowdays.

Jade - forest/swamp
Garnet - waste
Onyx - mountain
Crystal - plains

As there are more poptypes in some terrains the rarity may vary.

Come to think about it, I haven't seen crystals in a long time.
