First, I big thanks to the Warlords 4 people. I went there to ***** and found everyone else had already said what I was going to say but I did find this game http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif . Hopefully someday, they will code the missing half of that game.

Now a couple of things. I've only played 3 games and am still very new so I'm not sure if these are bugs or not.

First, on the England map playing Pangaea v2.08 I had a commander disappear. Nothing in the Messages. I watched both battles he was in that turn carefully and he did not appear to die and there was no commander death Messages with either battle. But he was gone.

2nd. Same game, I started with 7 dominion and built 25 temples before I realized that my dominion was still only at 10. 7 + (25/5 =5) 5= 10?

Third, also under 2.08 but I don't remember the map. I was playing R'lyeh and had built three insane stargazers each with ritual of returning cast on them. The very fist time I lost a battle each stargazer was one hit by heavy infantry?????

Each of them had something like 20 protection and 20 defense. But they did not appear in my capital.

Are these bugs or am I missing something.

Thanks for any help and I'm loving this game. Write more strategy guides!! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">The max Dominion is capped at ten. However, the number of sacred units you can recruit is not. So you'll still be able to produce 13 sacred units, but your dominion won't go past ten.

What kind of commander disappeared, and what turn was it? There are a few magic things that can make units die (e.g. Burden of Time) or defect (e.g. a Succubus) without a specific message.

I'm not familiar enough with Ry'leh, but I know some of their summoning activities can drive units insane, especially if they aren't the special type that is supposed to do the summoning. That I think happens during the summoning though, rather than during a battle. There are some spells and weapons that can drive people insane though, I think.

This in addition to what PvK said:
I've posted on disappearing commanders before, which has happened IF they are stealthy and IF they sneak into independent territory and IF they autosummon units (e.g.: ghost king, Pangaian Harpy Queen, etc.). Could that have been it?

maybe disease can kill a commander without message.

Duncanish, I think 7+5=12. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Thanks for the help.

The commander was the Centaur Heirophant(sp) but he was not my prophet.

Basically the castle he was in was attacked twice in one turn (somewhere around turn 30-40) from the Messages and the battles images he survived but was gone at the start of the next turn.

I noticed because he had heroic strength which I'd never seen before and I had equiped him with the lightning bow with precision items. He was my best fighter at the time.

Negative dominion can kill your prophet/pretender without a message
