...missing a 'hold & fire' in the tatic options? There are the 'hold & attack' but when I'm playing with the C'tis Slingers I need an option that says wait 2 turns before firing.

Errh... Why? Couldn't you just deploy them further into the back of the battlefield? I would rather have a "Fire & Hold" command to cut down on the casualities in friendly ranks.

You can assign them to guard a commander, then have the commander hold for 2 then charge.

Ummm... Wouldn't that mean that his C'Tis Slingers would run right into melee Mr Parker? Too bad bodyguards don't use missile weapons.

I don't see the problem with C'tis slingers firing while my troops engage the enemies, the C'tis troops got a good poison resistance while my shamans heals those unfortunate troops from the rear. But I can see the point when you are playing another race with archers and slings.

Wouldn't it be easier to put an extra line in the tactic option to solve the problem than making them guard a leader?

Not for those who have to add that line... AND the code to make it work. AND who would have to choose between things like Hold&Fire, Fire&Hold etc. The IW might add that though, they are nice people. It is always off with something else they could have added, though, so it won't come along before they have run out of better / more interesting things to add...
