Hi everyone,

Here's a map that I've been playing around with for a week or so. I don't have time to work on it anymore, so I'm releasing it into the wild. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Feel free to change and distribute the .map file however you like, but make sure I get credit for the .tga. Here's a preview

Hope you folks enjoy!

Well, I know -I- downloaded it but haven't had the time to open it yet due to finals. The art looks great though and I love the idea of a themed map, although wonder how balance would work out MP...

Otherwise, great initial impression!

Certainly is a beautiful map! I just downloaded it. Hopefully I can open up a game with it this evening.

Thanks for the hard work!

Thanks for the nice words. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

I'm not sure how the map will perform in MP. It's a pretty straightforward setup, nothing fancy, other than a lot of wasteland and (hopefully) limited resources.

I'm not much of a scripter, but i'm good at making things look good. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif

I had nothing to do on my linux box to be able to dearchive zip files (gzip/gunzip), but rar is different.

Pheew! Map leaves you starving for resources so strong summoners and sitesearchers get an early edge. I got steamrolled by Pythium after some 30 turns so I couldn't tell if there are some mountains or forests where you can set up a "production center". It's a very interesting map by looks alone. It's got a professional appearance that I sure wouldn't mind seeing more of. Thank you for making it available.
