I'd like to join as Marignon. This is my first attempt at MP, can someone give me quick and dirty as to how this will work? I've read Posts on PBEM, but this looks different and I didn't see any relavent topics by searching. Or could someone point me to the right Posts? Any help would be appreciated.

Thats a good decision Esben! Maybe you want to try Carrion Woods. Sunrays new CW guide is really useful. I play it in a mp game and its funny to play.

It doesn't do anything? I thought that was how the "points of interest" were calculated. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif
I love that feature. Much easier than checking each game individually.

Hmmm. Would it be possible to also show how long ago the new turn started? Check the system date against the date of the .trn files, let people know which they have to move fast on. Mainly an issue only on the quickhosted fast (12 hour) games.
Anyways - thanks for putting up a great set of pages and server mechanism! It provides the means for much MP enjoyment, and is greatly appreciated.
[Edit - BTW, nice to see you get a chance to join one of the games you host. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif ]

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Massive coolness - thanks! Hmmm. Another request? Is it possible to get and use some of the other maps that don't come with the game? Some of the ones that Illwinter has made available on their site (Cradle, Parganos, Middle Earth are beautiful and inspire different gameplay style, while Cirlani and Farthing (and Parganos) give some choices other than Aran & Urgaea for a small / quick map and game).
But I have to say that one has to be darn quick to reserve a spot in these times... <font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Heh! Maybe you need to add Jabber notification when a game is created and open? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

And you are very welcome! For a long time it was more fun coding these pages than playing, but now I feel in the mood to get my hands dirty/bloody again.

The scripts I use to monitor games were crashed because I had upgraded the underlying software (and deleted the old Version).
I've restarted Dry Lands. Thanks for the heads up!
I might be quicker to catch me on Jabber, btw.

My move only solidified about 2 weeks ago, else I wouldn't be in the games I am.
But I assure you - I appreciate the feature, and look forward to taking advantage once I find a place in New Mexico and settle in.

Oh, ok. Sorry to sound so, it was just strange with the lack of responses.
I hope you will enjoy your new home. New Mexico sounds like North America somewhere in the sourthern end, so at least next winter shouldn't be so cold http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

Compared to the Last 22 years (since I left backwoods Maine - very very very cold, and worse when it isn't summer http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif ) the winter will be colder, and the summer hotter. Southern California, Florida, and southeast Asia have all been quite warm.
But New Mexico (southwest part of continental USA) has great food, very spicy, nice architecture, arts and culture; I think I'll enjoy it. Be nice to be around family again, especially for the holidays.
As long as I can find a decent place to stay, a job, and a decent internet connection. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif
