Did anyone notice the change in the banners? The sale going on until the 31st? Dom2 is 10% off.
(oh yeah and some others too if anyone plays anything but Dom2) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Show the sale to your friendly neighborhood netlink cafe, or gaming lan.
(maybe those are just a California thing)

Yes, but Nofleet, one of the priciples of advertizing's psychological warfare is to scream things that make no sense, just to get people to think about them.

I don't think there's much of a point to advertising Dominions II on the Dominions II board. Most of us already have, or at least, are keenly aware of, the game.

Well I know alot of people have wanted a lan copy, or have a friend they wanted to get into the game. Now is a good time to do that.

I'm guessing this "sale" is actually a ploy intended for Shrapnel to relieve themselves of their excess stocks of Dominions II before the next patch comes out, which I am told is primarily about nerfing or somesuch, thus the overwhelming secrecy. Because if you have to hide it, it can't be a good thing. Things that are hidden are always either bad, or a distraction for something which *IS* bad.
I've become rather distrustful of these patches. They always break SOMETHING.

huh? for one thing I dont think there is any secrecy involved. The beta group and shrapnel staff have never posted much about things from beta-discussion. That wouldnt be right. Any Posts about what is in a patch has come from the devs. Arent they and most of shrapnel at Origins or is that over now?
I also dont follow the thing about unloading. For one thing there are alot of games in the holiday weekend sale and Dom2 is one of them with the least markdown. If anything I think it shows extensive belief in the product. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

You distrust patches because they always break something?
Are you not ignoring all the previously broken stuff (that you presumably hated from the previous patch) that they fix?
