I know Ice Armors of Caelumian troops improves if the province is cold.
But what does happen if the province is cold, but in battle the Unquenched Sword is wielded by someone ... since that sword raises the temperature of the battlefield?

A similar question applies to the battlefield enchantments Grip of Winter and Heat from Hell. (In fact I'm 90% sure Heat from Hell and Unquenched Sword have the same effect or lack thereof, since Unquenched Sword probably just casts Heat from Hell at the start of the battle.)
We know they affect fatigue, and IIRC they can cause numbness/spontaneous combustion, but I don't know if they affect temperature-sensitive items - or for that matter, temperature-sensitive creatures, such as elementals or seasonals, or the water elemental summons, which have a different effect in cold weather (ice elementals).

They don't. The heat and cold inflicted by Heat from Hell or Grip of Winter has no known effect on cold and heat-scale sensitive effects: They only increase fatigue for the vulnerable parties and cause the secondary effect: In fact, it's simultaneously possible to have both in effect at the same time in a bizarre contradiction: A unit can radiate both heat AND cold, resulting in an opponent who is numb and on fire!

its rare that so short an answer can make me chuckle, then think, then laugh. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif
