If I take a bunch of non-aquatic flyers underwater with a Barrel of Air or other device of similar function, will they be able to fly underwater (like Tritons)?

I wouldn't think so, but I don't know. I heard that you can take swimmers out of the water with magic, and then they will fly in the air. LAND SHARK!!! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif

I think I've seen my Caelians flying when fighting underwater. I guess the "flying" is really the same for all units.

I think a unit has to have some sort of special flag to fly underwater, unless somebody can demonstrate that an innately amphbious or aquatic-only chassis can be induced to fly underwater as well throug the application of flying equipment.
Otherwise, only certain units are able to fly underwater(Tritons, Nereid, Horrors, etc), although they retain the ability to fly if they leave the water.

I know for sure that putting boots of flying on a commander underwater does not allow them to fly.

how many flying full amphibians are there? off hand i can only think of horrors and mermen, both of which can fly, i think you can fly underwater if your aquatic or are a full amphibian.

I believe there should be "acquatic" + "flying" ... because flying amphibians don't fly in water.

Mermen dont fly on land, however.

Hmmm, we need Penguins I think, imagine an army of waddling penguin's on land and when underwater they then "fly" to their target with much higher speed and get bonuses to attack and defense!
