When you slay someone else having magic items, you got some of them.

Which criteria/formula follows that plunder of corpses?
I've noticed only a little percentage of the items are effectively taken!

I'm not sure, but it would be interesting if a system could be put in place where the artifacts that you dont capture are left inside the province with a random chance for passing through commanders to find them. The chance would increase greatly if a 'search for magic sites' was done.

Just a thought.

It's almost pointless that ^^ in the battle you can see every item there's, and you know what you receive.

Probably you should take all the items you can carry on, since they stay in the corpses only awaiting for someone that grab them.

No. There are two levels of information. One is the player's level; the player is shown all of the equipment and fatigue levels and so on, for fun and so they can see how things work. The other level is the knowledge of the troops and leaders. They don't have the same omniscient view of what happened. They don't recognize what is magic and what is not. As has been mentioned by IW in the docs or someplace, many items may be looted, but by people who don't know what they are, or how to invoke their powers, and so they effectively are removed from play.

Also, some items would get destroyed during a fight that kills the wearer.

There are all sort of plausible reasons why items are lost, just make up a plausible one. More powerfull items are easier to find, cursed items are extra easy to find.

True ... sadly I was very sad when I found Satina in a province, and when I got it the robe was disappeared (I didn't found it).

Does anyone know if artifacts lost in battle become available for reconstruction, or are they lost permanently?

They can be rebuilt.
