Hi,

I am in a game where I have the following in a province:
castle
leader in "academy of war" site
leader pillaging
leader "calling shadows"
leader "hiding"
leader moving into the province from outside
leader sneaking into the province from outside
leader searching for magic sites
leader patrolling
leader on defend orders

If an enemy army moves into my province, who fights them and who hides in the castle? Some of these seem easy but others I really have no idea.

Thanks
John

Everyone but the patrolling units will be inside the castle, to the best of my knowledge, and although I ain't too certain about the pillaging and searching for sites, consider it an educated guess that they're safe in the castle as well. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

The leaders on the move conduct a "friendly move" (into your own province), which happens before hostile movement, which means that they're safe and sound inside the castle walls before the enemy approaches.

If you move a unit into a friendly province, you can then select the order to "move & patrol" to have a supporting army defend the province, not go hiding in the castle.

Ditto what Karacan said, but that the searcher will definately be inside. I dont know what "call shadows" is, but if it is a ritual or something ritual-like, he will definately be inside as well. Only one I am unsure of is the pillager, since I never pillage my "own" provinces (ones where I have a castle in; I dont play undead nations really).

All actions except "Patrol" and "Hide" will be inside the castle when an attacker strikes.

Patrollers will fight outside the castle should an enemy attack, alongside the PD.

Hiders will not fight at all.
