I have just had 2 weird experiences...maybe i'm just a noob. My shaman cursed all of my commanders and left the enemy alone wtf? also overran Tien Chi in a game and killed their Jade Emporer. The very next turn he reshowed in the capital...tien chi had 4 provinces and 2-3 priests so no way did he have 40 summon god points. Any idea how this could happen?

Did he have a Ritual of Returning on him? If he had a Ritual of Returning cast, it might have LOOKED like you killed him, but he got away. Never heard of a shaman cursing your own units and ignoring the enemy units, though.

The shammy cursed all 7 of my commanders and ignored the independents 3 commanders. Dont know about the ritual of returning but it was only like turn 20 and I did get the standard "you killed our god we hate you forever" message

Maybe your Shaman got mindcontrolled by one of the Tien Chi peoples? Was he still around after the battle?
Maybe he had more than 2-3 priests. I recall that many of the Tien Chi mages are also priests.

The shammy was attacking indies with a commander and 2 priests and yep he is still in my army. T'ien chi went comp controlled a few turns back and i've wiped my armies ..he is attacking me with peasants ..hard to believe Last province I cant see is chock full of priests but i'll know soon enuff

All of T'ien Chi's mages are also level 2-3 priests. If the player had been cranking out researchers in the capitol, there could be quite a few there.
I don't remember ever seeing friendly-fire cursing... this is with the Curse spell?

Aye but he came back the turn after I killed him storming the castle walls and kiling all his researchers.... and yes good old shammy curse spell. At least the god came back all kinds of crippled and I spanked him again

Also, are you sure C'tis didn't have Totem Shield with any of its commanders? It casts curse on its own.

I wasnt fighting Ctis , I recruited a shammy at a province I captured and attacked indie provinces with him...I did set his army orders to spam curse ..cause I wanted to see how often it would hit..boy it hit every time

Sorry, it seems I should have went to bed instead of posting... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif I meant T'ien C'hi, of course.
If 'Confusion' is cast on enemy mage and he fails a save (whatever it is) and attacks his own side, can he cast a spell instead of trying to bash them? What if he is scripted? Will he follow it?
edit: typo, added the Last sentence.
