Okay, so I pay 80 death gems to forge the Ankh and equip it to a commander. The item guide says it provides life after death so I'm thinking if my commander takes a mortal wound, it's going to do somthing.

A bit later my commander dies in a battle, drops all his stuff to another commander, including the Ankh, and says 'bye-bye, see you at the pearly gates'. Nothing, nada, zilch. He's a deader. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif

So how exactly does the Ankh work and what exactly does it do? Do you have to be inside your own dominion for it to work, maybe?

Thanks.

The Ankh casts the spell "Life After Death" at the beginning of every battle. This means that any of your units that are killed will be reanimated as a soulless on the battlefield.

Meh, always seemed kinda underpowered to me. Game balance aside, methinks it should also cast Twiceborn, or possibly "delayed bLast Ritual of Rebirth" on the wearer, for purely thematic reasons.
Anyone with me on this?
