I did a search on the forums, and I couldn't turn anything up indicating that the Inland map (which wraps) was or was not imbalanced. Anyone have any experiences with that map they'd like to share? I've been playing it SP (with all 17 pretenders) and am enjoying it. But I haven't started enough games to know if certain starting locations are borked or not.

Thanks in advance,

There used to be a lot of MP Inland games, until other maps became trendy. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif I played in a number of Inlands - the map generally seemed okay for MP (unlike Aran) but there is definately some potential for screwed starting positions, especially if either of the aquatic nations is in play.

yeah, its not really the best map for water nations http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

otherwise its fine. I quite like it actually - its one of the few that are reasonably sized.

OTOH, there's nothing really amzing about it either. It could do w/ a little bit of "sexing up" a la faerum.

Thanks for the advice guys. I forgot to mention that I'm edging the water nations out as being viable on purpose. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif Hey, I'm a (MP) newbie, I don't feel like dealing with those guys. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Anyone else have experiences with the Inland Map they'd like to share?

Thanks again,
