Building a Laboratory?

What is required to build a lab? I have a temple and a fort there already, but it won't give me the option.

A mage, i.e. someone with at least one level in at least one of the 8 paths of magic, is required to do the building.

Not quite. The ability to research is what lets you build a lab: Philosophers, for instance, can research, and build labs, but not actually cast spells.

I guess that would make sense, since the researchers are the ones using it... Slaps forehead.

Yeap. And if you mage is feebleminded he can not build lab anymore.
