Does owning a fortress in a province give you control of the victory point if someone teleports in and seizes the rest of the province. I had several forts under construction when Norfleet ported in grabbed the provinces and won the game ( the Bastard!) . Had I completed the forts (which I had not) would they have prevented the win?

Yes and no. Yes, holding the fort means you retain the VP. No, it wouldn't have prevented it because my smash-and-grab operation hit more targets than was necessary. I only did that because it was obvious that two of the other major powers in the game were going to stale forever and otherwise rule out the option of HONORABLE COMBAT TO THE DEATH.

Well the game went alot better than Tools Karan Adventure, my first 2 Mp games, both ended in crushing defeats to you. I hope to repay in like coin on another field - though that seems unlikely in Cradle of Uncivilization. Thanks for the fort clarification.

I dunno, being arrowed is a pretty classic means of dying.
