Hi guys,

One of the players on the Quarter to Three Boards (where many games have been organized) decided to write up an AAR of a PBEM game played there. I wasn't in the game, but I've agreed to host it on my site, and perhaps people here might enjoy reading it. It was this player's third time playing PBEM Dom2, and only his second time as Man (with it being his first time with the Tuatha theme) so those looking to criticize his strategies can certainly do so, but he was a newbie and I think the whole thing reads very well, and is quite entertaining, which is the point of the whole thing. Perhaps you will enjoy it. The link is here:

I found it vastly entertaining http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif Poor Squishy Squiddies were only trying to do their C'thulu duty and rid the world of fancy boy Tuathas!

Hey nice.

Ceremony, good to hear your virtual voice again -- do you actually visit these Boards anymore?

And if lutes1 = jason lutes, that would be great to see him here again too.... (such great maps)....

best to you all and thanks much

Hi thinktank,

I don't get time to visit as much as before, but I still check in occasionally - I only post when I actually have something concrete to add. As far as Lutes goes, yes, that's a game Jason hosted. I agree that his maps are excellent - I have made a tentative deal with him that if he can just do the artwork for the maps, I will be glad to do all the boring work of coding the neighbors, -nostart provinces, etc. in the .map file. So all he has to do is draw/paint. Hopefully he'll get some time to take me up on this and we can see some new creations from him because I agree, his maps are really great.

That was a very entertaining AAR, thanks for all the effort!

Im curious, was it done all at once from notes during the game, or as the turns happened, or just off memory?

As I understand it, the author took notes throughout the game, and then wrote it up at one sitting. The screenshots were taken throughout the game and then saved with the notes.
