I'm personally a big fan of the Inland map and so I decided to try my hand at creating a wrap-around map of my own.

Currently, I'm using Gimp as my image editor of choice, but I'm having a hard time getting things to line up well on opposite sides of the image.

Does anyone have any tips for getting Wrap-around maps to look good? Is Gimp the wrong image editor to be using? Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

You might try cloning the edge pixels to the opposite side; that could give you a reference.

image -> transforms -> offset

Choose the x/2 y/2 button.

Then remake the middle of the map and offset once again to check the edges.

Offset by other values to make sure it looks nice.

Good luck.
