Greetings.
We are looking for new permament owner of BF Ulm nation in our game. The nation is in good shape, I think it is one of the three or four top nations in the game atm, and it is the leading blood nation(they have several blood SC summons already up to lvl 8 helios). Also Ulm has SC VQ pretender, and currently wining the war vs Abyssia.
The game is in the middle stage now, turn 40 or so, and things are starting to look very interesting and exciting for everyone. It is also on relaxed 48 hours host and it is played on Karan map, so it is not as large time investment as many other games at this stage.
If you are interested in taking over this nation please post here.

For you posting here is enough since I know you. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif Welcome to the game Truper.
I am waiting for the password for Ulm atm, as soon as I'll get it I'll send PM with it to you. Hopefully it'll happen before the next 48h host.
BTW Truper the first turn for you should be exciting - I think Ulm have missed 1 or two Last turns, (without any bad effects for himself though, since he had Abissia locked in their two remaining castles, and Ulm is not in war with anybody else). Ulm's main army should probably by now break the extremely thick walls (500 defense) of Last Abyssia none-capital castle, and you aslo must have a lot of bloodslaves and money form the Last turn or two waiting for you to spend as you wish. I hope you'll enjoy your new nation. Good luck!

After connecting and clicking on my nation i got an (nagot) error message: "Turn File is corrupted".
I'm running 2.13. Was the server updated too? Anybody with the same problem?
I can't do my turn in moment.

I'm having the same problem, but I am still running 2.12.
I went to peak at the fresh turn while I was at work and got the same error.

Duh!
That's probably why the file was corrupted. Everybody need to upgrade at the same time, otherwise the game crashes.
No, AFAICT the server was not updated to 2.13. At least I am also runing 2.12, like Mal, and I haven't heard anything from Sheap regarding server's upgrade.
The strange thing is that I have no trouble connecting to the server (at least I was able to download new turn this afternoon)

It was never a problem having a newer Version then the server. I played 3-4 turns on another server which runs 2.12 too. Only the wrong displayed battle results is a problem.

Well, that's the only reason I could think about. If you have other possible explanation I would be very intrested to hear it.
BTW me and Truper had no trouble connecting and downloading new turn, and the turn appered to be ok (both your and Mal's forces were active). Don't know about Abyssia and C'tis - can you guys connect, or you are also experiencing troubles?
The important question though is what should we do now?

Ok, one temporarely solution that I can think about is for those players who for some reason are unable to connect this turn, ask somebody who can connect (some neutral party, or one of our players, up to you) do download the turn for you and send the file to you. As I said, the turn seem to be ok, as far as I can tell, all your armies are moving, etc.
If it was just one wierd glitch, perhaps it'll dissapear next turn. But I would still reccomend to downgrade it to 2.12, just in case - since this is what Sheap's server is runing, and I don't know of any other irregularities in our game.

I've downloaded the turn file just fine. I've tried deleting it and connecting again but I get the same results.
I also tried upgrading to Version 2.13 to see if that fixed the problem but it did not.
As soon as you try to play the turn you get the invalid message.

Maybe we had a buggy fight.
I didn't hear about that before but it seems we are the only players with problems opening the turnfile.
sheap should stop the server. If i can find the time i'll write something to illwinter. Maybe they could check the turns.

ok. I stopped this game for now. Let me know when I should restart it.
Should I send files to illwinter of some sort?

The most likely cause for this is an error during transmission. Try to e-mail the turn files and see if it works better that way.

All right, let's try to do it.
Sheap, could we bother you to email their turns to Mal and Calmon please? Mal's nation is Caelum and Calmon's nation is Ermor. Thanks a lot and sorry for the trouble.
Guys, if Sheap do not have your addresses please PM it to him.

I just got the file from Sheap. I placed the turn manually and it worked fine. So it must have gotten corrupted during the transmission and JK suprmised.
Sheap is sending the file to Calmon as well, so hopefully it clears up the issue for him to.

OK I'm having this problem too. Anyone want to explain in detail how you go about playing the turn and emailing it?

Currently the game is down. Sheap stopped it when we were having problems so that nobody missed a turn. If you have a problem opening your turn, then ask sheap to email it to you.
Once you get the the file in your email you just copy it into the game folder within your Dominions folder (usually C:Program Files\Dominions\[game name].
I don't know if there is a problem with uploading the turns once you are finished. My bet is that will work fine, but I havne't been able to test it since the server is down.

I got the .trn Last week (like written in that thread). It works fine for me an i wrote it in an email back to sheap. I just thought he has restarted the server. But it seems he doesn't.

Yes, it looks like Sheap's server is down atm. Sheap have been MIA for the Last few days despite his virtual presense in IRC, pretty unisual for him.
To The_Tauren13: Have you asked Sheap to send you your turn? If not, I suggest send him PM and give him your email address. After that I think you'll need to replace the file in your Karan game directory with the one he will send you, than start the Dom2 *Offline*, load the saved Karan game from your harddrive (with new turn that Sheap would eamil you), make your new turn, save, than connect to the Sheap server and upload it.
At least that's how it looks to me, Maltrese and Calmon who actually done that might correct me if I am mistaken somewhere.
To Sheap: In case if you are still reading this thread, The_Tauren13's nation is Abyssia in our Karan game.
