Recently I've been messing around with Abysia using a fire-9 moloch. Flare/Fire Darts + blessed lava warriors do quite a number on the independents in the early going, and later on combos like Heat From Hell + Fire Storm can be pretty impressive.
My question is in regard to support magic for my pretender. A little air (+precision, aim, mirror image, mistform) or water (quickness) are obvious choices. The problem is that the moloch's ugly new magic cost effectively makes this a 2 positive scale hit - dropping me from magic 3 to magic 1. Also, increased variety of spells isn't always a good thing: more spells means more possibilities for stupidity once the 5 spell script runs out. So, is the trade-off worth it? My initial reaction is to stick with pure fire, but I'm no expert and would definitely like to hear other opinions.
