MP Game - Lost Memories

This game will be hosted by Reverend server.

EDIT - due to new ruling of The Battlefield, the game will have no house rules.

We're working too on a system that assign to players the Nations. So on there could be a chance that you'll get another Nation, but this will apply for everyone.

Renaming and Graphs on.


I'd like to play with Arcoshepale.
If someone claims it I can switch to Abysya or Pythium (to forfeit the claim of Arco to a less experienced player, not to someone expert however).

This game I'd like to be a The-Battlefield ladder game, so please if you want to join in, register at The-Battlefield (http://www.the-battlefield.com) as a Dominions 2 player.

I think that no ladder game should be played with house rules. I certainly do not see why anyone should be forced to spend design points on castles that she does not want... or for that matter, why someone should be prevented from playing her favorite race just because someone else cannot deal with it.

After all, the ladder is for Dominion II, no ifs, buts, etc...

I'd ask to Battlefield boss if it's possible to play a ladder with non registered players.

IMO there's chance to ignore you for Ladder Points calculations, but I'm not sure this is feasible.

May I ask you why you don't want to register in The-Battlefield?

Someone clicked on Start Game before all players uploaded, Bale.
The host probably need to re-setup it, this first turn is pointless.
Remember to delete your Lost Memories directory in Dom2 folder.

Yep, sorry about that. I had a few troubles with my firewall and was unable to log in to IRC until friday. However, I didn't receive any PM's on this board?

Anyway, the server is ready to switch to a 48h quickhost, as you suggested Cohen. Just waiting for the signal.

I have a problem in Memories... Dispite repeated attempts at infernal summons, Mictlan Priests claim that Marignon has a monopoly on all the good virgins. Sure sure, we do have some red-heads, but most of our virgins are of Jotenheim blood and you've got to be a pretty drink templar to bind a Jotenheim maiden to your cause. Then there are the Vanheim. Where to begin....with they're natural 'Glamour' effect, very very few of the Vanheim women are virgin. Outside the dominion of Mictlan, we can't hunt down Vanheim virgins at all!
With the Diabolic faith, Marignon simply dresses up some fancy tarts with chainmail and a horse, calls the soldier a Knight, and the virgins come running.
It's the honest fiends of Dominion who come out on the short end of the virgin hunt! Please fix this if you can Reverend!

Vanheim and Man both died around turn 10, I think.

Just as a heads up I am having trouble logging into the game on occasion not sure what the deal is but if it seems it is taking a while that is it. I hope this turn has a long delay, I look at my turn but haven't been able to get back on to take it. Allgood, just want to keep you informed

Still can't log on this morning, I'll try this afternoon when I get home. Not sure if it might be a server problems or me. I can log into my other QH games but this one keeps freezing up on the waiting for info screen, and advice would be appreciated.

You know what works for me Bale....
When it locks up. Leave the game frozen and start a second dominions game (Running from window mode). The second running of Dominions never freezes, but the first Dominions window always freezes.
Don't know if that makes any sence to you. Computers pretty much suck. So to re-cap. Run Dominions in windows mode. It will lock up. Without closing the locked up program, Run Dominions again.
This has been working fine for me. But Bill Clinton and Al Gore were inventing the internet when my NEC was made.

Might be the server needs to be restarted. Illwinter thought they'd caught that one, but communications issues are a real bear to debug and work out.

Other than that, what happens when you fail to log in? Does it hang at the "waiting for game information" screen, or is it telling you that the server can't be contacted, or what? When it fails at the waiting for game information screen, a brute force solution often works: 3-6 tries to connect usually will get you in.
