A little poll on the topic of ads and blocking...

On a side note, how much does Shrapnel Games cost, exactly? It is apparently for sale... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif

You don't have enough options on the poll, you should add this:
"I only block obnoxious, overly large, flash, or noisey ads"

I normally do not block ads, unless they are one of the above. If a website uses such an ad, I block them. I HATE Flash ads, especially ones that make any noise at all. Grrrr...

Unfortunately it is impossible to edit a poll...

I do not care about ads; my eyes are trained to ignore them http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Nice eyes, can I borrow them sometimes. Maybe they are effective against fat women on the streets. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I don't really care, so long as they don't block my usage of the page.

Ads aren't really much of a big deal. Google does very nicely with pops (over, under, sideways, whatever).
I don't mind little banners at the top or bottom of the page.

I have no tolerance for those floating adds that stick on your browser window, or float across it while you're trying to read.

I dont ever reallly get affected by ads as I really only goto a couple sites. When I do venture off to find something I generally can ignore all ads but those annoying pop up ads that block the screen, when i used to have internet explorer, I had to disable my connection during the day when I wasn't there because when I would get home there would be 200 or so like pop ups

Perhaps you might want to look into decent browsers that do not allow such crap, like Mozilla Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/start/).

It can still happen with Firefox if you have the Flash plugin installed. Solution: don't use flash http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

If you have AdBlock running, it can catch stuff like that... worst case you just have to block it.
