http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/smile.gif I mean, are they susceptible to :
* Flames From The Sky (of From Afar) ? I suppose not, as they are fire resistant... But some spells that should have elemental damage sometimes have "generic" damage, so ..
* Purgatory ? The spell description only talks about undead, but shouldn't devils be affected also ? Devils are "kinda" undead since Dom1, so maybe they are, and things like Holy Pyre, Marignon capitol site, Flambeau or Herald Lance affect both...

No, they are not susceptible to it.

But some spells that should have elemental damage sometimes have "generic" damage, so ..

I can't think of a single spell that falls into that Category.

Purgatory also I think is "Holy fire" so it affects fire resistant types too... and there is banefire also of course.

I just watched a replay and I had a handful of devils killed off by Magma Bolts. I would have intuited that as fire damage but apparently not, and I remember that the (fire gem) vengance medallion also does non-fire explosion damage. Those are some examples of what was probably meant.

Yes, I was thinking of Phoenix Fire example. As for Magma Bolt they are an Earth spell, so I think they do "standard" damage, not fire.
About Purgatory : does someone knows the damage formula (according to Dominion)?.
